TEST is excited to extend its partnership with Rainforest Rescue to continue the operation and development of Loliondo FM Community Radio station in 2024. This radio station is the cornerstone of TEST’s Community Media Program and is based in Wasso, the administrative headquarters of Ngorongoro District. It has been broadcasting since 2011 and it is the only radio station in the entire Ngorongoro District. The radio station serves a population of 500,000 people in four districts (Ngorongoro, Tarime and Serengeti Districts in Tanzania; Narok District in Kenya).

Rainforest Rescue started supporting the radio station in 2023 through a project titled ‘Promoting Active Citizenry for indigenous people in Tanzania through Radio Programmes and Outreach’. Building on the successful outcomes of that project, TEST and Rainforest Rescue will continue their partnership in 2024. “The radio station is operated by a dedicated team of journalists.
